Our Story
Selva & Mar is a Brazilian-American travel company founded on a simple belief: Brazil’s most magical places aren’t in the guidebooks.
We started as travelers ourselves — falling in love with hidden coastlines, sleeping in fishing villages, and dancing forró under the stars in places most maps don’t show. Over the years, those experiences became something deeper: real relationships with the communities who call these places home.
Today, we partner with local caiçara communities, indigenous villages, and family-owned pousadas to craft journeys that are as meaningful for the places we visit as they are for the people who join us. Every itinerary is designed to leave a positive footprint — economically, culturally, and environmentally.
From the emerald fjords of Saco do Mamanguá to the coral reefs of Bahia, Selva & Mar connects you to the Brazil that locals treasure and outsiders rarely see.
