On any busy night you'll find samba circles, MPB and jazz in the center's bars. The music often spills onto the sidewalk, with people dancing on the cobblestones. Just walk and follow the sound.
Bars and cachaça
It's worth trying a caipirinha made with the region's artisanal cachaça, or ordering a tasting at a specialized bar. Many places serve caiçara snacks until late — perfect for rolling dinner into the night.
A quiet night
If you prefer calm, start with sunset on the pier, dine unhurried and finish with a stroll through the lamp-lit center. At full moon, the tide floods some streets and creates reflections worth the night walk.
